Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Steven Spielberg is about an electric lineman, who finds his quiet and ordinary daily life turned upside down after a close encounter with a UFO. Starring Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Melinda Dillon and Francois Truffaut. Note that Paul Schrader wrote the original screenplay for this movie, but Steven Spielberg made many changes to Schrader’s script. Finally, Schrader asked that his name be taken off the screenplay, and since it had to have someone’s name on it, Spielberg put his own name on the screenplay.
